Deranged also has a mental killer who dresses up in a mask made of human skin, keeps corpses and bones all around his house and digs up graves. The two film have a similar creepy atmosphere and score. Whilst Deranged may have come first, I do think Texas Chainsaw is still the superior film and deserves to be a horror classic.
