The series was produced by Kripke Enterprises, Wonderland Sound and Vision, and Warner Bros. Television. The series was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, and surrounding areas. It was in development for nearly ten years, as creator Kripke spent several years unsuccessfully pitching it.
