Tasca is the birthplace of historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet, Thunderbolt, Tasca Street Boss, and Mystery race cars. Starting in the 1960’s, the Tasca Racing team competed successfully for over a decade on the NHRA circuit, winning the prestigious Winter Nationals in Pomona, California and the Super Stock Nationals in 1965 with Hall of Fame driver Bill Lawton.

Tasca Ford, the second largest Ford dealer in the country, combined forces with Ford Special Vehicles department and produced one prototype 427 A/FX Ford Fairlane, which was raced and tested late in the 1963 season. The name of this creation was “Zimmy1.”
