Anselmo was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, [5] and is mainly of Italian and French heritage. [6] He is also Danish through his great maternal grandmother. [2] He attended many schools across Louisiana and Texas, the last of which was Grace King High School in the New Orleans suburb of Metairie, [7] which he dropped out of during 12th grade. [8]

At ACH, Dr. Anselmo was an integral part of the leadership team that steered implementation of a computer-based early warning system and enhanced quality control processes.
