Julia Fordham (born 10 August 1962) [1] is a British singer-songwriter. Her professional career started in the early 1980s, under the name "Jules Fordham", as a backing singer for Mari Wilson and Kim Wilde, before signing a recording contract of her own later that decade. [1] Fordham is now based in California.
When she was 16 Julia started working at Radio Victory in Portsmouth where she loved being in the studio singing jingles and doing the voice overs for commercials. In 1988 Julia signed with Virgin/Circa Records and released her debut album simply titled, Julia Fordham.

British Singer Songwriter Julia Fordham burst into the music scene in 1988 on Virgin Records with the International hit “Happy Ever After.” Then followed her critically acclaimed album Porcelain, which included the popular songs “Manhattan Skyline” and “Lock and Key.”
