What will become of this strange new relationship between a woman and her human pet? “Kimi Wa Petto” is a 2017 Japanese drama series directed by Izuru Kumasaka. It is based on the manga “Kimi Wa Petto” written by Yayoi Ogawa. Two previous adaptations of the manga originally aired in 2003 and 2011.
Kimi wa petto: Created by Yayoi Ogawa. With Koyuki, Jun Matsumoto, Satomi Ishihara, Eita Nagayama. A dejected woman finds an unconscious man resembling her former dog and takes him in as a "pet", forming an unexpected bond as they overcome obstacles together, raising the question of whether such love can exist.

Kimi wa Petto is a story of how a woman learns that one must allow herself to exhibit her true self before love can find them. It is inspirational and moving, and even though I didn't cry thru this like other carthartic doramas, it always kept me on the verge of tears.
