Berg Palace (German: Schloss Berg) is a manor house situated on the east bank of Lake Starnberg in the village of Berg in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The site became widely known as the last residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and location of his disputed death.
Since the death of Grand Duke Jean in 2019, Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie reside at the Castle with their sons, Prince Charles, born in 2020 and Prince François, born in 2023. Unlike the other two residences, Fischbach Castle is not a State property.
The origins of Berg Castle date back to the early 15th century. It was probably built after the lands of an older, now disappeared, castle, which stood nearby, were divided during an inheritance.

Ludwig II, who since his childhood had spent much time at Schloss Berg during the summer months, inherited the castle at the death of his father in 1864. Until his own death, Berg remained a fixture in his life; he spent here several weeks each year.
