Aug 4, 2017 · However, the midsole tooling wraps up the forefoot — something the Air Jordan 11 is missing — and keeps you on the footbed. That section, combined with the beefy over-exaggerated outrigger mold, keep lateral support and stability in check. Overall – The Jordan Super.Fly 2017 is so close to being perfect it’s kind of scary — for other ...

- Jordan Super.Fly 2017 Performance Review | Stanley T.
The suede upper of the Jordan Super.Fly 2017 is a throwback to the times before basketball sneakers were made from high-tech materials. While some critics really like that, others prefer more lightweight and modern materials. What reviewers can agree on is the very good traction and slightly disappointing React Cushioning system.

Aug 18, 2017 · Support – The support on the Super.Fly 2017 was good. It features an internal shank bar, internal heel counter, and heel pillows for comfort that help secure lockdown and offer good traction (especially with the extended design of the midsole tooling and outrigger).

REACT & PHYLON
The cushion setup is now Nikey’s new technology – full-length React foam within a Phylon carrier. Love it or hate it, it’s a competitive cushioning system that provides all the critical attributes a player needs while playing.
AN OVERALL SOLID EXPERIENCE
There’s nothing special or extremely awesome about the shoe’s fit but there’s also nothing wrong, either. It comes in three different material options and all of ’em offer setups for just about every player out there. I’m a slight wide footer and they fit me true to size perfectly almost right off the bat. On the version that I got with the sturdier materials, a slight break-in period was needed but it was actually really quick and hassle-free compared to most other shoes with harder uppers....
CUSHION
If you looked at my Hyperdunk 2017 review, the React implementation is pretty much the same here. In a nutshell, a very low to the ground, responsive and court feel-focused setup. Not a very bouncy ride but it still manages to offer you a good amount of heel impact protection and a very minimal power return that still feels better than your concrete Kyrie 2’s or even theKyrie 3’s.
TRACTION
There are translucent and solid rubber options depending on the colorway but what’s really nice is they both perform really well regardless. Nikey has a poor history with translucent rubber traction but this one – they did it right. Played both indoors and outdoors – killer traction. I guess I wouldn’t put it in my top five best tractions of all time but that doesn’t really mean that much when this one performs completely fine, it gripped the floor well at all times, I slipped maybe 3-5 times...
SUPPORT
This is will vary depending on the upper option and mine was the suede at the front and neoprene at the back. It’s the sturdiest and most durable option, so support is also the best here. There are all of your main features: an internal heel counter, a torsional shank, a supportive upper, a pretty in-your-face outrigger and a correct fit resulting in a very solid shoe that will hold you at all times. The Super.Fly 2017compromises on the weight and mobility aspects a bit but you get great supp...
OLD SCHOOL IS BACK
My variant of the upper is the “old school” style materials: very nice suede at the front and pretty think and soft neoprene at the back. Like I said, this combo doesn’t scream lightness or pure freedom since suede is pretty heavy and not on the breathable side, plus suede isn’t giving up on cleaning too much. However, the whole setup is implemented very well thanks to modern technologies, so the sneaker still feels just the way is should. Durability is the strong point here. Rack up games in...
THE JORDANS ARE GETTING CHEAPER TOO!
What’s cool about brand competition is the consumers keep getting better prices. AJ is a very pricy brand and seeing a $140 price tag on a popular shoe is awesome and not seen that much before. The shoe absolutely delivers and that’s why I think QUALITY wins this one. You can’t purchase a better bang for your buck Air Jordan right now.
BEST FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO DON’T NEED MUCH BOUNCE
The AJ Super.Fly 2017 screams versatility and pure performance. If you’re looking for a shoe that brings all the solid aspects to the table, plus a bit more, this one’s for you. I guess it doesn’t have my favourite cushioning or an absurd amount of mobility, it delivers on security and performance.
