  1. But it’s arguably one of the most fun Superman games out there. Let’s see, it’s got: Amazing flying mechanics. Some decent level design (even the Clark Kent stealth sections). And plenty of genuinely fun combat. Superman: Shadow of Apokolips has everything you need for a great Man of Steel game. And it’s easy on the eyes, too.

    • SUPERMAN: SHADOW OF APOKOLIPS. Shadow of Apokolips is easily the best Superman game that allows players to really feel like Superman. The game featured cel-shading to better reflect the style of the animated series and even featured the voice-cast from the show as well.
    • THE DEATH AND RETURN OF SUPERMAN. 1994's Death and Return of Superman from Sunsoft improved greatly upon their previous release. The side-scroller allowed players the use of many of Superman's powers while also featuring other playable Superman from the comic storyline like Superboy and Steel.
    • SUPERMAN RETURNS. Following the 2006 release of Superman Returns, a tie-in game was released that was loosely based on the film. While the game is known for featuring Superman's powers incredibly well, it didn't really give gamers much to do as Superman besides fight robots and rescue kitties.
    • SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL. 2002 saw the release of the Xbox Exclusive Superman: The Man of Steel by Circus Freak. The game was based on the comic version of Superman and dived deep into comic mythology.
    • Superman Style Flight Experience. Why is this at #1 when it’s not even a real game? Because Superman Style Flight Experience, aka the Superman Mod for the Matrix Awakens demo, represents exactly what Superman stands for: Hope.
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us/Injustice 2. If I wasn’t copping out with the #1 pick, these two games would be taking the top two spots. After NetherRealm Studios remembered how to make fun fighting games again with Mortal Kombat (2009), it dove back into the world of superheroes with Injustice: Gods Among Us.
    • LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes/LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham/LEGO DC Super-Villains. I could have easily filled four spaces in this list with LEGO games.
    • MultiVersus. The newest game on this list is also one of the slickest fighters in recent years. MultiVersus–amazing name, by the way–brings together characters from various Warner Bros.
  2. Aug 1, 2024 · Superman (known in Europe as Superman: The Man of Steel) is the title of a video game released by Sunsoft for the Mega Drive/Genesis in 1992. It is based on the popular DC comic book characters of the same name and is a traditional single-player side-scrolling arcade game where the player controls Superman through various levels in an effort to defeat the evil supervillain named Brainiac.

  3. Are they any good Superman video games out there. Because it seems like they can’t make at least a decent Superman game which it’s a shame because a Superman game sounded fun. I mean Superman has at least a great show and or a movie, but not a good game. Shadow of Apokolips might be the best 3D game

  4. Jun 30, 2014 · The second of Atari’s Superman animated series game, though first plot wise, is a decent enough isometric action game that’s nothing spectacular, but is a solid game none the less. A little on the short and easy side with little replay value, but I can’t argue that the fact that the game looks well and plays better than most of the other games on this list.
