The Triton is likely a little deeper, which in my opinion is why it’s such a nice, dry-riding 18’ bass boat. My 2008 18x2 has a similar hull and my Buddy thinks it rides better than his 19’ Ranger.
The Triton BB's have a tendency to chine walk in the upper speeds. The Nitro will not. Nitro makes some fine boats regardless of what some may say that don't have first hand knowledge and just consider them bass pro shops boats. I have been to the factory and seen them coming down the assembly line.

Jan 24, 2014 · Although the Ranger and Triton are built in the same facility there are different processes in the production of each brand that keep their DNA with in the brand. I know the Triton's are weighed throughout the process and the difference in weight of our flagship 21 foot boats and Ranger's is about 75 pounds.
