    Snow Leopard

Snow Leopard, the Leopard lived on a ledge of a sheer cliff. There was a large, spreading tree growing on it. The tree served him as an apartment, a training room, a place for meditation and a library. The rock served as an observation post and weather station. The leopard warned the surrounding regions about the danger. This village had a special meaning for the Leopard: once there was his home, and everything was completely different. The Leopard grew up as a cheerful, carefree kid. He devoted his leisure time to making the life of the inhabitants of the valley brighter and more interesting. One day, the Leopard woke up early in the morning to think about another prank, when suddenly... The leopard immediately realized that trouble had happened: a huge avalanche had fallen from the top of the mountain and was rapidly approaching the village! Its inhabitants were sleeping peacefully, unaware of anything! Without sparing himself, risking his life, he rushed to the bell tower, located right in the path of the avalanche! At that moment, the Leopard forgot about pranks or pranks — the most important thing for him was to save his family, friends and neighbors. The leopard made it in time, the neighbors heard the alarm and left the village. But the Leopard itself did not escape the trouble... This day could have been his last, if not... It was an old hermit who had been learning the great wisdom of the mountains for many years. He saw the feat of the Leopard, and after the avalanche he dug it out and warmed it in his lair. "Well done, boy! I will teach you." Since then, time has passed, the old Leopard teacher revealed to him many secrets, showed him many exercises, spent many days with him in silent meditation. But it's time for the old man to leave this world. He was weak and asked the Leopard to take him out to the sun to meet his last sunset. "Now leave me alone..." The leopard turned around. He knew that he would never see his teacher again. The training ended, and the Leopard turned into an expert on mountain slopes and an unsurpassed climber. He decided to become a sentry to guard the peace of his valley, equipped the ledge with the latest devices for detecting seismic hazards. Despite his serious duties, the Leopard did not sit on the rock all the time, he trained a lot and taught friends how to snowboard, so pretty soon this sport became popular on their mountain. And the Leopard, following his teacher, was the best in him. His entire village came out to accompany the Leopard to the Sochi Games.

    Zaika/Hare

Zaika, the Hare's house stood in the most cozy corner of the protected forest. A big, friendly family lived there. Hare was the eldest daughter — and so responsive! If you ask her for anything, she's already running like an arrow! You won't have time to turn around — the assignment is completed! Hare managed everything: to study with "A" at the Forest Academy, to train in running in summer and figure skating in winter, to help her mother in a small family restaurant "Lesnaya Zapruda" and even to communicate with numerous friends. And Bunny sang wonderfully, many people came to the hares' restaurant just to listen to her. Some of the visitors, even predatory in appearance, came for the sake of the carrot cutlets of the Mother Hare. Life went on as usual, farming, studying, friends... But one day a disaster happened in the forest — a fire started! It was necessary to urgently call someone for help, but the phone line was damaged. The Hare did not lose her head, she darted like an arrow through the smoky forest to her neighbors and together they overcame the elements! When Hare was invited to participate in the mascot competition of the Sochi Games, no one was surprised. On the occasion of the victory, a real celebration was held in the restaurant. The next morning, Hare got ready for the road. The Hare confidently rolled across the ice towards the rising sun...

    Bely Mishka/Polar Bear

When Bely Mishka, the Polar Bear was little, he lived on a large ice floe with his mother and always ran away from her somewhere. He was very stubborn: tell him: "You can't!" — and he immediately rushes to prove the opposite. One day the children argued that the Bear would not be able to jump from a high ice floe. A piece of the ice floe broke off, the terrified kids immediately ran for help, but the ice floe floated further and further away from home... When there was already a tiny piece of the ice floe, the Bear was rescued by Russian polar explorers. Life on the ship was completely different, and although everyone doted on him, they had to keep the Bear strictly. After all, with such energy, he could destroy something! Mishka was very glad when the time came for them to disembark — there will be a place for Bear to roam! When the Bear was back on the ice, all the accumulated energy seemed to splash out! Scientists saw the talent of an athlete in the white bear cub and often arranged a speed race for him. Bear broke his own records over and over again. When the Bear stopped being placed in the tent of the polar explorers, they decided to build a new house for him. A month later, Bear was living in his own modern home. He was interested not only in sports, Mishka studied programming, electromechanics, astronomy from polar explorers and made his own scientific discoveries. "Who else but he, a miracle athlete, should become the mascot of the Sochi Games?" the polar explorers thought and sent their application...
