Some learners may, for example, have a degree or postgraduate qualification in a specialist area of clinical practice (e.g., nursing, physiotherapy, radiography, medicine) and many or few years’ clinical experience, but limited exposure to specialist care of people with dementia.
May 4, 2022 · High-quality nursing dementia-specific care requires nurses to demonstrate knowledge, attitudes, and/or skills in the 8-core competencies presented in Box 1. Nurse faculty in schools of nursing and RNs and APNs in LTC would use each core competency to develop a separate set of measurable objectives.
