Jul 8, 2024 · In John's gospel we read of Jesus speaking of those unto whom the word of God came, "and the scripture cannot be broken" (10:35). Jesus also said this, "If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken..." (7:23). In both cases the sense is clearly that of disregarding or violating the word of God.
