Prefect badge: Having been made a Prefect in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Cedric owned a Hufflepuff Prefect badge, which he would have worn during his formal Prefect duties.
Many Slytherins and Hufflepuffs wore the badges prior to the First Task for their own reasons: the Slytherins had a long-standing animosity towards Gryffindor, but the Hufflepuffs thought that Harry had stolen their glory by rivalling Cedric, and wore the badges to intimidate him.

- Against the “Potter Stinks” Badges. The King of Cups believes in fair play, and Cedric mirrors this belief in Goblet of Fire. In the book, Harry suspects that Cedric asked people to stop wearing the “Potter Stinks” badges.
Badges. A lot of people, especially Hufflepuff house, did not take kindly to Harry Potter being named a fourth Champion. Many people wore large badges on the front of their robes that said, “support Cedric Diggory, the real Hogwarts champion.”
