Jan 1, 2023 · In an X-ray imaging system, scattered radiation increases noise and decreases the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Employing an anti-scatter grid affects the primary-to-scatter ratio. Whilst reducing scatter-related noise, anti-scatter grids also decrease the intensity of the primary signal intensity.
