Dec 30, 2021 · To me this shows that most Fragranticas prefer rich and unusual Orientals. The Fruitchouli boom seems to be out. What amuses me the most: Miss Dior Eau de Parfum 2021 in the Much ado about nothing Category (Thank you, I stopped buying this reformulation mess in 2012) and La vie est belle in the I hate this perfume Section (So much advertising for nothing- poor Julia Roberts).

Dec 5, 2007 · The various pink Guerlains all seem to try to graft the Guerlain DNA onto the fruitchouli trend. These are pleasant enough, but I prefer my classic Guerlains: Mon Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau Vol de Nuit Evasion This one is elevated over the fruitchouli herd by the leather, and I do enjoy wearing it.
So to my understanding of fragranticas charts, it looks like the fragrances you like have stronger musky and amber notes. From the charts it looks like BR540 and gentle fluidity have stronger woody notes than amber notes, where as the ones you do like that have woodsy notes look to be less as perceptible/strong as the MFK fragrances.

WHAT I SMELL: Fruitchouli Flash does open with a flash…a flash of warm, peach, apricot and ripe fruit, topped with a nutty, rather carameled syrup. It is rich, thick, heavy and interestingly burnt. The perfume smells like a fruit and nut topping that you would put on an ice cream sundae.
