Oct 31, 2024 · They are God’s special agents to carry out His plan and to minister to the followers of Christ (Hebrews 1:13-14). There is no indication that angels were formerly humans or anything else—they were created as angels. Angels have no need of, and cannot experience, the redemption that Christ came to provide for the human race.

No. We do not become angels when we die. Humans are one kind of God’s creation, and angels are another. To say we become angels is to say we stop being humans.
Creation Psalm 8:5says, “You have made them [human beings] a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.” (Explanatory emphasis added.) God separates humans from angels in what they were created to be. Another verse to look at is 1 Corinthians 6:3. Here Paul is explaining to the people of Corinth how people will judge angels...
Perhaps it’s a misunderstanding of something Jesus said. Luke and Matthew recorded Jesus talking about marriage with the Sadducees. They were challenging him as usual; trying to trip him up and validate themselves. This time it was a question about the resurrection (which they didn’t believe in). The Sadducees started by stating the law of Moses, r...

And at the present time the angels are greater than we are, because God made us “a little lower than the heavenly beings” (Psalm 8:5). But the Bible also says that in heaven we will be higher than the angels–and the reason is because we will be like Christ. The Bible says, “Do you not know that we will judge angels?” (1 Corinthians 6:3).
Those who believe that humans become angels when they die have a distorted idea about the nature of humanity and angels. Humans are physical beings with a spiritual soul, made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). Angels are spiritual beings (Hebrews 1:14) who can only become physical if God ordains that their work requires it.
Apr 16, 2015 · Many Christians, and many people living in predominantly Christian cultures, believe that people who die become angels. This belief is reflected in numerous popular novels and movies, such as the classic 1946 American movie It's a Wonderful Life , in which a guardian angel named Clarence occasionally refers to events of his life (and death) as a human being on earth.
Jul 24, 2017 · Outside mainstream Christianity, a few groups do teach that humans become angels: According to the Latter Day Saints: Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but are appointed angels in heaven, which angels are ministering servants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.

Apr 16, 2015 · Yes, CARM is materialistic. But about humans and angels being created separately, they’re just wrong. The Bible never says this. They’re also misinterpreting 1 Peter 1:12. It’s not about angels not being able to see or experience something that humans do. It’s about angels wanting these good things to happen.
