Evidence-based practice has an essential potential role to play through incorporating more practice-based evidence of nurse educators in teaching and learning implementation. The nurse educators should use EBP to ensure that student nurses receive high-quality nursing education.
The EBP programmes’ duration can be one semester and they can be part of the normal education procedure of the nursing students. EBP training needs to start at the undergraduate level and develop competences at the master’s and PhD levels.
Nurse educators need evidence-based tools to assess student EBP competence across a variety of settings. Research examining the generalizability of the EBP competencies in varying curricular models as well as didactic and clinical settings is needed.
