While William Afton does not appear as an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, he does makes a cameo in Fredbear's Family Diner at the end of Night 3, where, if the player goes back to the Dining Room when the man in the Fredbear suit is first seen, William appears to be helping an employee into a Spring Bonnie suit.

The question I began pondering is when in the timeline William "Purple Guy" Afton got springlocked. We can narrow it down to after FNaF 2-- he was clearly still around and very active at that time-- and he died in the FNaF 1 location based on the minigame's layout, but that's when it gets fuzzy.
