Yes, you can downgrade to Gold Star and get the $60 UPGRADE fee (not the whole $120) back. If you received a $30 check, they will refund you $30 to make it $60, and will use that for your renewal. Essentially, the $120 you paid about a year ago is paying for two years of Gold Star. You can only do this if your account is not expired yet.
