Does Koodo have a 5G network? Koodo offers service on both 4G LTE and 5G networks. That means the happiest network is available in more places than ever, with a faster connection than ever. Get ready for quicker downloads, faster streaming, and on-the-go gaming across Canada.
At this time, Fido will not offer customers access to a 5G network. 5G devices are compatible with Fido’s existing 4G LTE network, and we are continuing to invest in our LTE network to enhance speed and coverage, delivering a stronger connection.
Koodo's network coverage. All Koodo plans run on reliable and award-winning 5G and 4G LTE networks, stretching your coverage from east to west and north to south. Full access to the 5G network requires a 5G device and 5G speed rate plan.
As you are aware, Fido is not currently offering 5G services (see here). They are concentrating on improving the LTE networks. As far as I am aware, none of the flanker brands are offering 5G services either. The different levels of flanker providers offer different services.
Aug 8, 2023 · This means that while her device indicates she’s on 5G, her iPhone 13 is still experiencing what Koodo deems LTE connection speeds. According to Koodo’s information page, 5G speeds can reach up to 250Mbps, while 4G speeds are limited to 100Mbps.
Oct 22, 2024 · Koodo also has access to Telus’ nationwide 5G network, which covers 70% of Canadians, though it has mostly stopped offering 5G plans since its sister brand Public Mobile began offering them in 2023.
May 2, 2024 · Telus-owned Koodo has made changes to its website and no longer lists 5G plans, leaving only plans with 4G and 3G speeds, iPhone in Canada has learned. Here’s what’s available as of writing: $30 pay-per-use data with unlimited Canada-wide minutes. $39/20GB 4G. $44/40GB 4G.
