If you have employee or individual assistance program coverage with Manitoba Blue Cross, counselling services including in-person, online video, telephone or e-mail options are available to you. If you are unsure of your coverage, visit your mybluecross® online account to confirm.
Our renowned Employee Assistance Program provides direct access to professional, confidential counselling services to assist employees and their families with personal concerns affecting work performance, self-management and life.
For example, through Manitoba Blue Cross’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), eligible members* can access counselling for the following: Academic. Career/pre-retirement. Legal. Financial (budgeting, financial crisis) Occupational stress. Crisis/suicide. Depression/mental health. Grief/bereavement. Couple/relationship. Family concerns/parenting.
Virtual counselling services through online video are available for purchase, even if you do not have employee or individual assistance program coverage with Manitoba Blue Cross.
Also, Manitoba Blue Cross's counselling services are available to all Manitobans, regardless of whether or not you have coverage with Manitoba Blue Cross. You can find the available support and book an appointment here .
As part of our ongoing commitment to mental health services, we have added eligible social workers and counsellors to the clinical psychology benefit under our extended health benefits plan. (Previously, only coverage for treatment by a clinical psychologist was eligible.)
