In 2022 and 2023 the MGGS Rowing Program experienced two of the best years in its nearly 40-year history. We saw back-to-back record-breaking performances at Head of Schoolgirls, multiple gold and silver podium-finishes in the National Championships (2022 in Nagambie and 2023 in Perth), and appearances at the internationally renowned Henley Royal Regatta. Jessica was nominated for her exceptional work in building a highly successful, positive and inclusive culture within the MGC senior program, as well as for her work as a volunteer coach at Mercantile Rowing Club and with the Victorian Rowing Team as junior pathways assistant crew coach in 2022.
On Friday the 26th of April, members from the Melbourne Girls’ College rowing community gathered for our annual presentation night, proceeded with a ‘boat christening’ ceremony. This event marks the naming of new additions to the MGC Rowing Fleet, with this year featuring 9 new boat names.

Melbourne Girls’ College operates a popular rowing program on the Yarra River. Melbourne Girls' College was established in January 1994 with an enrolment of approximately 300 students. The college used the buildings of the former Richmond Secondary College , which had been closed in 1992 by the Kennett Government .
