They most likely used extremely simple prompting to produce text from ChatGPT to be flagged at that rate. There is no going back. It already is impossible to detect AI written work from human work. You need to adjust your class with different assignments.
Jun 9, 2023 · Relax! What you share with ChatGPT doesn't get published anywhere, so your uploaded work isn't in any AI database where Turnitin can detect it. By the way, don't even mention that you used ChatGPT to fix the syntax, even if those "AI detectors" claim it was written by AI. Those detectors aren't 100% reliable.

If this is the grammar you typically deploy in your work, your teacher won't need Turnitin to detect plagiarism. Also, when I was teaching comp, I used multiple plagiarism detectors, as did my fellow teachers. Even if Turnitin doesn't detect plagiarism, there are so many other programs specifically for educators that will.
As a student I am for them creating something to keep from people using Chat gpt to write for them. Want to half ass your school work go ahead and you’ll risk being half ass at your job. Reply reply

Game over. Turnitin has also developed tools for detecting chatGPT using openia as part of their toolchain.
