- All athletes who meet USA Track & Field's automatic qualifying standards can compete at the sport's 2024 Olympic Trials. However, the USATF also has minimum qualifying standards. If there aren't enough automatic qualifiers to fill a qualifying field, athletes above the minimum qualifying standard can also compete for a spot on the Olympic team.

Dec 31, 2022 · You must be a U.S. citizen and meet the eligibility requirements found in USATF Rule 1.1 (a). Athletes may qualify for the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials with marks from Indoor or Outdoor competitions. There will be no conversions of entry performances for any reason.
Team USA trials run from Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 30 on NBC, USA, and Peacock. The track and field portion of the Olympics commences on August 1 and ends on August 11.
