Here is a list of stores across Canada That Provide Rainchecks! If something is out of stock (on sale in a flyer) you can ask the store to give you a raincheck so you can come back and purchase it when it’s in stock. Rainchecks are usually good for 30 days.

I know Wal-Mart will not give a rain cheque if the items says "while quantities last" etc. If it is something that they regularly carry and it's on sale, then they will give you a rain check but if it's something like a promo item or limited supply, they wont give one.
