  4. Feb 22, 2003 · I have dealt with both companies; Rockler when I was in Buffalo, Woodcraft here in Rochester. I think Rockler is better for cabinet hardware. Woodcraft is probably better for hand tools. The personalities of the local employees will be the most significant factor in your choice to patronize one over the other.

So, ya, they are “legit.”. On the lumber side of things, they generally have a wider range of options than a box store or a small independent mill.
