  2. Jul 9, 2021 · I use the Sega MS controller on my atari for some games, it's not great for all due to the style of a dpad vs Joystick. Has anyone modded their controller so both fire buttons work? Currently one does and the other doesn't serve a function. Are these controllers similar to atari where you have a power and a ground for each button?

  3. Jan 21, 2024 · The Sega "6-button" controller (really 8 buttons) adds more complexity, but I don't think it changes anything as far as interfacing with an Atari.   4. Oct 5, 2023 · I can confirm they work on all my 2600 machines (6, 4 switch an jr). The retro-bit controllers are a bit smaller than the original genesis Controllers - i like them very much. I own 2 black and 2 in blue. I have to use the seagull 78s in my 2600 jr to get the 8bitdo receivers to work. Not sure about retrobit.

Oct 20, 2016 · Also a closer inspection of the plug of the controller all the holes on the plug in of the controller are all the same size unlike compared the sega master system plug where some of the small holes are bigger than the others (plugs easier into the atari than genesis with this difference), so again genesis controller wont work but sega master system controller will work good without modding etc.
