I skip recap episodes or scenes if there is an option to skip it - like on Netflix they usually have that option when there's a recap scenes at the beginning of an episode. No, I never do that.
nope. you didnt missed anything. The anime sometimes skips certain bits of narration, but it’s just a few details, in terms of the story you aren’t missing anything. No the manga is just fast paced. Im up to episode 12 and i just feel like some things are rushed and we move on to the next scene missing some important context.
It skipped a lot of scenes with character development and explanations, it even crammed 10 books (120 chapters) in the last 12 episodes. It also skipped the middle of the story, Root A is anime original and they never adapted the story from the manga that should be season 2. There is a lot of content missing in the anime.

So basically watch One Piece (with a filler guide), then switch to One Pace around 250. If you think the actual anime is too slow, and REALLY dislike the fillers that are a usual pedigree to any anime adaptation of a manga, sure. It's way faster paced than the actual show. For my money, I'm strictly anime-only.
