    • It features some of the stupidest aliens in cinema. A thousand years in the future, the planet will be dominated by a race of giant aliens called Psychlos.

    • Its production design is mystifying. Before directing Battlefield Earth, Roger Christian was a rightly-acclaimed production designer. He won an Oscar for his work on Star Wars, and was nominated for another in 1979 for Alien.
  2. First, it didn't have anywhere near the level of budget or the same sort of style as the Star Wars prequels. I don't know where you're getting that from. BE was $44 million according to the wikipedia. Second, if you really think BE was not a bad movie you need to watch a lot more movies -- good movies.

  5. Jul 14, 2008 · I made it about 45 minutes into it before I finally succumbed and turned it off. You could find water boiling or going to the dentist more enjoyable than this putrid, reeking pile of crap. Stay away and NEVER hope you hear the name again Battlefield Earth. I don't think I will ever be the same after subjecting myself to such torture.
