May 24, 2023 · Cultural factors play a vital role in addressing global health issues such as mental illness, HIV/AIDS, drug addiction, obesity, infant mortality, violence, and pandemics (Winkelman 2009; Liamputtong 2019; Rice and Liamputtong 2021).
On this page, we provide an overview of global health, emphasizing data on health outcomes – such as disease and death – and the effects of healthcare investments. We begin by examining life expectancy, a primary indicator of population health.
Therefore, we propose the following three points for consideration: (1) if the targeted issues are of global health impact, (2) if the research is attempted to understand an issue with a global perspec-tive, and (3) if the research purpose is to seek for a glo-bal solution.
