In an inclusive classroom, general education teachers and special education teachers work together to meet the needs of students. This gives special education students the support they need while they stay in a general education classroom. All students can benefit from inclusive classrooms.
Inclusive education means including students with disabilities in a mainstream school environment. In many countries today, children with disabilities attend ordinary schools but follow a specific curriculum.
Inclusive education means all children in the same classrooms, in the same schools. It means real learning opportunities for groups who have traditionally been excluded – not only children with disabilities, but speakers of minority languages too.
The majority of research indicate that inclusive education provides social benefits for children without disabilities, however students without disabilities educated in inclusive classrooms hold less prejudiced views and are more accepting than those educated in non-inclusive classrooms.
The right to education applies to all children. Article 24 describes what is needed to ensure that children with disabilities are able to realize this right: √ Non-discrimination: Children with disabilities must be able to access education without discrimination and on the basis of equality.

In this report we sought to identify research that demonstrates the benefits of inclusive education not only for students with disabilities, but especially for students without disabilities, since evidence of benefits for the former is already widely known. This report is the result of a systematic review of 280 studies from 25 countries.
