Oct 19, 2023 · As an avid reader from a very early age I’ve read so many A+ books.North Woods is at the very tip top of my list right now because of the outstanding skill of this author.Never have I read a book that demonstrated so many striking varieties of writing talent.Storytelling,human insight, character development,linguistics,timing,knowledge of nature, forests, families and the list goes on.
North Woods was named a New York Times Book Review Editors’ choice and included in multiple Best Book of the Year lists. Mason’s story collection, A Registry of My Passage Upon the Earth (2020), became a 2021 Pulitzer Prize finalist and won a California Book Award.

Change does happen, though, if we are open to seeing it, perhaps even nurturing it when the opportunity presents itself. As North Woods demonstrates, life may not necessarily be a beginning and end; it may be more of a continuum.
