This episode does an excellent job of humanizing (for lack of a better term) the Chigs. Up until this point, they were faceless space monsters, here we see that for all their differences, they are still people with human-like emotions. Rowland is terrific here in a story with minimal dialogue. Level of Necessity.

Planned for five seasons, it only ran for one season from 1995–1996 before being canceled due to low ratings. It was nominated for two Emmy Awards and one Saturn Award.
The special effects were impressive and stand up pretty well watching the show today. I loved the show when it originally aired and bought the series on DVD and still enjoyed it quite a bit. It was an early example of Fox fucking over a show that didn't immediately hit it big.

I loved the 2003 Battlestar series and wanted to see it's influences. I read online about Space: Above and Beyond and found the entire series on dailymotion and gave it a watch. The characters, the acting, the Hammerheads and the Cinematography are all amazing! The Aesthetics, the Sound effects and the tone are extremely 90s but I love it.
