Aug 16, 2024 · StellaDS is an Atari 2600 console emulator for the NDS. The original author of StellaDS is TheChuckster which the latest version of completed work was version 0.71. The later versions are updated by Alekmaul. The homebrew was showcased in the GBAtemp Homebrew Bounty 2011 (DSi).
Stella supports real Atari 2600 joysticks, paddles, driving controllers and trackballs (CX22/CX80 'Trak-Ball', Atari and Amiga mouse) using the Stelladaptor and 2600-daptor devices. Stella can use up to two adaptors; any extra ones are ignored.

Mar 7, 2022 · As explained several times in the other long-running threads about the R77, a dumper+emulator works very differently from a console with a real cartridge port, and the result is that you're still playing an emulated cartridge in Stella, while the real cart is only briefly accessed before the emulation even starts, then just sits there.
