I've been in the market for an Atari 2600 for awhile and I'm curious if it's still worth picking up the console today or should I just buy the compilation collections such as Atari 50? How does the Atari 2600 hold up so many years later?
Remember early Atari 2600 cartridges were only 2kB. There's plenty of lousy cartridges, just like there is on the nes. Decent ones include Space Invaders, Phoenix, Kaboom, War Lords, Battlezone, Hero, Star Master, Solaris, Boxing.
