And if your average is less than 30 hours per week, you won’t be eligible for the City of Dallas’ health benefits and will need to find other coverage, such as through a spouse, parent, or the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The City participates in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). An employee’s designation and eligibility for participation in PERS or the OPSRP are determined by law. The City pays the 6% employee pick-up.
