Oct 8, 2021 · God saves people for a purpose. Salvation in Christ begins a life spent growing into being like him and serving him faithfully. God forms Christians into Christ’s character and image (Rom. 8:29; 12:1–2; 1 Cor. 15:49; Eph. 4:11–16; Col. 3:10).
God’s purpose for saving us is much higher than that. It is based on His hidden plan from the beginning in eternity past (Eph. 3:11). As such, God’s salvation does not merely deal with our problems but restores us to His original plan, God’s purpose, before man ever sinned.
Sep 24, 2018 · God had to provide a salvation, and He paid the penalty for our sins. Now a God of love can reach out His hands to a lost world and say, “If you will believe in My Son, because He died for you—if you will come on that basis—I can save you.”. God doesn’t save us by His love.
They say that God saved you because you put your trust and faith in Christ when you answered the summons of the gospel. On the surface that's certainly a legitimate answer because we are justified through faith and we are called to make that response.
