The point in this lesson is this: God set Abraham and his offspring (Israel) apart for blessing so that they could be a source of blessing to the nations. God did not set Israel apart merely to save the Jews and send the rest to hell. He set Israel apart to be blessed and in turn to become a channel of blessing to the nations.
