When Harumichi then asks how Yae is doing, Tsuzuru explains his relationship with his parents. Yae picks up Uta and drives her to the airport where she plans to audition for a dance company in Tel Aviv, Israel.
After he broke up with his fiancee, why did he bail out from their meeting? Especially after she's confessed to him, why did he still decide to leave and wish her a wonderful life? He could totally stay, restart their relationship, and pursue their dreams together.
Remember when Harumichi asked his therapist (future fiancé) about how to bring someone's memories back and she said to have them experience the five senses that are familiar for them. That's why the whole interaction with adult Yae and Nakami was him trying to unlock those senses.
