Oct 14, 2023 · In the early 1970s, Martha Vickers was diagnosed with esophageal cancer , a type of cancer that affects the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach. She underwent surgery and radiation therapy , but the cancer spread to other parts of her body. She died on November 2, 1971, at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles , California.
Everything she did up to this point, made her a fly in the spider´s web. So when V realizes this, she says no. Her sacrifice is her first ever actual independent decision in a LONG time, and is her act of defiance against the monster that is the AbsoluteSolver. And in her final moments she smiles. Because she did it.
