You can register in person at the State Library of Ohio with a proof of address (e.g. driver’s license, state ID, or a recently postmarked bill). If you register online for a library card, your account can be activated after you receive it in the mail.

If you wish to do this, or if you forget your barcode or PIN, please contact the library at questions@bexleylibrary.org or call 614-231-2793. Expect your physical card to arrive in the mail a week to ten days after applying. You can print and complete our registration form & bring it to the library along with your Ohio ID or proof of residence.
To qualify, the patron must present a permanent Golden Buckeye card issued by the Ohio Department of Aging at the time of application. Homebound persons in Cuyahoga County who wish to obtain a library card should call our Homebound Services staff at 216-623-7005. Golden Buckeye and Homebound library cards must be renewed every two years.
