Aug 5, 2024 · 2. Open up the buried treasure map in your inventory. Pull up the map so it’s the active item in your hotbar (like you would hold any map). You’ll see 2 major identifiers: a small white icon, which represents your location on the map, and a large red X, which signifies the location of the buried treasure.

Note: As you come closer to the buried treasure, the map will fill in with color. You may find a chest in the center of the ocean. Open Treasure Map > Locate X > Move to X Location.

We will start by finding a shipwreck or ocean ruins. Shipwrecks can be found in the Ocean, Beach and River biomes. And ruins can be found in the ocean. *Tip: Use night vision potionto easily spot a sunken ship or ruins.
Sunken ships can have up to 3 different chests on it - a map chest, a treasure chest, and/or a supply chest. We want to find the map chest. Keep in mind, not every shipwreck will have a map chest, so you may have to locate another sunken ship if you can't find one. Once you do find one, open the chest and move the map to your inventory.
With the map open, you'll notice a white locator marker (that's you!) and a red X. You want to move your white marker over to the red X, which is where the treasure is buried.
Now, we just need to position the white marker over the top of the red X. You'll want the marker to be as centered over the red X as possible.
Once the marker is centered over the red X, it's time to start digging! Dig straight down until you find the treasure chest. Jul 25, 2024 · Treasure will be near this yellow area. You can easily turn on chunk borders by pressing F3 + G. Doing so will display all chunks. To turn off chunk borders, just press this again. When you get near the X on the map, turn on chunk borders and find the center blocks of the chunk.
