The Hogwarts Castle nighttime shows begin at dusk to park close. Typically, nighttime shows begin around 7:15 PM, or 8:15 PM depending on daylight savings time. Because of Daylight Savings Time, they can start as early as 6:45 PM. This means the Nighttime lights at Hogwarts’ schedule always changes due to when the sun sets!
- Don’t Try Doing It All in One Day. If you have one day to spend in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can get the majority of things done, while enjoying the rest of the theme park attractions.
- Remember to Pack Your Robe and Wand. It’s not every day you can wander the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley like a real witch or wizard. Make sure to add your robe, wand, and any other Harry Potter apparel or accessories to your packing list for some real epic pics.
- Arrive Early and Stay Late. Try to get there first thing in the morning for fewer crowds. (If you’re staying at a Universal hotel, definitely take advantage of the Early Park Admission perk!)
- Ride the Hogwarts Express Both Ways. Hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and travel back and forth between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Make sure to take it both ways as each way has a different experience.

The Diagon Alley area is at Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade is located at Islands of Adventure. The two Harry Potter-themed lands are connected by the Hogwarts Express, which looks exactly like the one from the movie.
