  4. Oct 31, 2016 · If you can take the door apart, you should be able to cut down the stiles and slats. Then you'll have to reprofile the stiles, so that the rail fits properly. Remove material from the middle. Cut a strip of material out of the middle of the door, then glue it back together.

  7. Jun 19, 2017 · I'll just cut out a piece towards the bottom of the door and then glue everything back up together. There will be a visible cut line, but I'll do my best to try and make it as clean as possible. Stain color and finish not an issue.
