NOTE: If small dots form in your brush strokes a few seconds after brushing on the mixture, your mixture is too thin so add some paint. Once you like the look of the first glaze coat stop painting and let it sit untouched for 2 hours.
- Sand and Tape Off Hardware or Remove Hardware. Before you start, make sure to protect your door hardware with painters tape, or to remove it. You’ll also want to spread a drop cloth underneath the door to protect surrounding surfaces and the floor beneath.

Use a small brush to apply the glaze in areas where wood would naturally have imperfections such as knots or cracks.

Jul 17, 2017 · Mix Tonka Bean with liquid glazing medium. 4 parts paint to 2 parts glaze. Use more glaze to your mix if you want more transparency. Brush on door. As soon as paint/glaze mixture in brushed on, run the woodgraining tool through the wet paint/glaze keeping the tool as level as possible to create straight lines.
