Sandstorms are powerful events where strong winds lift and transport sand and dust particles. They can reach heights of 5,000 feet (1,524 meters) and move at speeds of 25 mph (40 km/h). Common in arid regions, sandstorms reduce visibility and impact air quality, while also contributing to erosion and soil nutrient distribution.
