Sep 1, 2021 · The stand is tilted front, the display backwards = height 18.1 inches as listed. Go for it! I understand the tilts forward and back. But the result in the illustration is the iMac is tilted slightly to the back. Wouldn’t the maximum height (perpendicular, straight up) be higher than 18.1.

Not sure if this helps but I have the VESA-version of iMac M1. Measurements are not 100% accurate, hence the tildes. The whole iMac is ~37,8 cm high and inside of the screen, meaning the LCD itself, is ~7,2-7,3 cm from the chin. That includes the white bezel. VESA-mounting plate starts from ~5,2 cm and the first hole for screw is at ~6 cm.
