Positioned overlooking the sea, on the J4 jetty, the building designed by Rudy Ricciotti forms the heart of the Mucem. This cube with its elegant concrete lacework forms a perfect square with sides of 72 metres. It is linked to the fort Saint-Jean by a footbridge suspended above the Mediterranean.

The ‘Saint Jean Fort’ restored (15 000 sqm) is a historical monument that originally dates from the 12th century. Linked to the J4 by a footbridge, thrown above the sea, it allows the visitors to enjoy spectacular panoramas, invisible until then.
