Feb 26, 2024 · In recent years, admitted classes have been made up of seven to eight percent legacy students on average, and legacy students had much higher acceptance rates than non-legacy students. According to 2021 admissions data , students with parent legacy status had an acceptance rate of 49.7%, far higher than the general acceptance rate of 19.3%.
Of the 473 students who have thus far been admitted to Wesleyan’s Class of 2026, about 40% applied for financial aid, 10% will be the first in their families to attend college, 30% are students of color from the United States, and 7% are international students. Early Decision II results were recently released by Wesleyan’s admissions office.
